Why this rock is probably not a meteorite:
It might be. If it is, it's an oriented stone that came through the
atmosphere with the left side first. If someone out there has ever
seen a meteorite with this shape, please let me know.

What is it?
It's impossible to say from the photograph. It could be a hematite
concretion.
