Why this rock is probably not a meteorite:
This thing was found in a river in Idaho. It's solid iron, the finder
said.
Iron meteorites typically have bizarre shapes, but they're not this
spheroidal.

What is it?
Probably some man-made object.
A cannonball?
Note added later: The finder did some research and
concluded that this is a Ni-Hard grinding ball (Google it!).
