Why this rock is probably not a meteorite:
The finder thought this rock had a fusion crust. Too thick.
It's
not magnetic,
has a specific gravity of 4.5 (too high
for a stony meteorite), and makes a rusty red streak.

What is it?
A hematite concretion that formed by
deposition of layers - layers that are now spalling off.
