Why this rock is probably not a meteorite:
This attractive object was found in a field in Kenya the morning
after a possible meteor was seen.
Meteorites are never this spherical. They never have this combination
of colors with this type of pattern, even after they have been carved
or milled by humans.

What is it?
It's probably a man-made object unrelated to the meteor. A chemical
analysis of the surface showed high concentrations of elements zirconium
and lead. These are elements that occur only in low concentrations
in meteorites.
