Why this rock is probably not a meteorite:

This photo was sent by the superintendent of a construction crew who found it while building a road "in the middle of nowhere" in the Atacama desert of Chile. This desert should be a fine place to find meteorites, but not many have been found there.

The shape is ~OK, but again, the holes are a problem.
 
What is it?

Well, darn, it looks like another hematite concretion. I urged the finder to pursue this one, nevertheless.
