Why this rock
is probably not a meteorite:
This thing contains a lot of metal. The finder didn't tell me where
he got it, but he followed my advice and had a chemical analysis
done. It's
mostly silica and iron. There's not enough nickel and cobalt to be
a meteorite,
and
there's
much-too-much
manganese (4.4% MnO) and silica (80% SiO2).

What is it?
Hard to say, but with that much manganese, it's probably man made.
