Why this rock
is probably not a meteorite:
From this angle, it looks like it might be. However, the density
is only about 2 g/cm3.

What is it?
When we sawed it in two, we found the inside to be a porphyritic
volcanic rock with small vesicles. It's covered with an iron oxide
coating.
