Why this rock is
probably not a meteorite:
This thing was found at Quincy
Quarries, Massachusetts. It's not magnetic, and looks glassy.
Again, the surface is too rough for a meteorite. Also, an old industrial
site is a good place to find slag and other weird-looking man-made
stuff but not such a good place to find meteorites.
